3 Ways to Deal With Your Fear

I’m seeing it again – many people are moving into fear, and it is getting in the way of them creating their ideal lives!

How much time each day are you spending in fear about something happening – losing your job, your relationship going bad, something happening to your loved ones?

Every moment you spend in fear is taking time and energy away from creating the life you really want.

So today, I would like to share with you 3 simple techniques for moving out of fear. Simple, but effective. If you have the belief that it has to be hard to release your fear, allow yourself to set that belief aside for now and give these a try.

Technique # 1: Breathe

Yes, I know it sounds funny that something so simple could be effective, but it works. When you go into fear mode, you go into fear breathing – very shallow and fast – and it is very hard to connect to Truth when you are breathing that way.

When you catch yourself in fear mode, give yourself two or three nice, deep breaths. Then notice what happens to the fear.

Technique #2: Change Your Focus

When you are in fear, your focus is on what you don’t want to happen. It’s impossible to create the life you want from this place. So, when you catch yourself in fear, use that as a trigger to change your focus to what you want. One way to do this is to ask yourself: “What is it that I DO want to happen?” See it and feel it if you can. Spend a minute or two in those thoughts.

You cannot be thinking two different thoughts at the same time, so this really works!

Technique #3: Connect to the Truth

Fear is not the Truth. Fear is something your subconscious has created to keep you disconnected from the Truth. There is something in your life that reconnects you to the Truth – it may be a book, a person, or an activity that makes you feel totally at peace. Know what those connectors are for you and use them to reconnect you in those moments of fear – it could be something as simple as looking at something that you think is incredibly beautiful.

Fear keeps you stuck, broke, and unhealthy. If you want a new result, you’ll need to do something different when you feel the fear.
